When designing a circuit board, engineers are always looking for their desired wattage in the smallest possible package. Choosing the smallest possible power supply allows for seamless insertion into any circuit board without taking up too much space.
These units can be hard to come by, since power supplies with higher wattages are typically bigger. Our compact, 9-watt SWB9 series of DC-DC converters can help simplify your board layout.
Technical features. This model comes in a miniature single inline package (SIP) of 0.86” x 0.36” x 0.44” with 89 percent power supply efficiency and a 4:1 ultra wide input range. The SWB9 product line features an input/output isolation up to 1600 Vdc, continuous short circuit protection and output current up to 2000 mA. This series is also RoHS-compliant to EU directive 2011/65/EU and meets all UL60950-1, EN60950-1 and IEC60950-1 safety standards.
SWB9 comes with either a plastic or metal case. The metal case helps the power supply withstand high operating temperature ranges up to 100°C. Also optional is an extra pin that attaches to the case for grounding and shielding.
